SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) continues its All Hazards Preparedness Campaign in supermarkets and stores throughout the Island, to advise people on how to rebuild by implementing mitigation measures to prevent future damages.  In July 2010, FEMA began this Campaign in hardware stores where more than 13,698 persons have been reached.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico -- On Monday July 12, 2010, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) launched an All Hazards Preparedness Campaign in hardware stores to advise people on how to rebuild implementing mitigation measures and prevent future damages.  More than 6,041 persons have been reached and this effort will continue in stores located in the 10 municipalities designated to receive federal aid under FEMA’s Public Assistance program for Infrastructure damages, after the May 26-31, 2010 storms and flooding event.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – The Voluntary Agencies Liaison (VAL) of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) supported a Meeting and Orientation Fair for all Long Term Recovery Groups (LTRG) members to provide them with current information, as wells as an opportunity to interact among entities with similar background, interests and needs. This event took place on Saturday, August 14, 2010, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, at the Complejo de Recreación y Deportes in Hato Rey, next to the YMCA premises.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico -- Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) officials and Puerto Rico Governor’s Authorized Representative (GAR) staff will hold an Applicants’ Briefing meeting related to FEMA’s Hazard Mitigation Grants Program (HMGP) for the 10 designated municipalities, state agencies and some private non-profit organizations. The meeting will be held on Friday, August 13, 2010, at 10:00 am, at the Puerto Rico State Emergency Management Agency facilities.
