FORT MONMOUTH, N.J. -- In the 12 weeks since federal disaster assistance was made available to New Jersey homeowners, renters and business owners affected by the severe storms and flooding of mid-March, more than $33 million dollars has been distributed to assist in the recovery efforts by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). As of July 2, 12,837 flood survivors registered for assistance. Funds awarded to date total $33,052,186, which includes:

SOMERSET, N.J. -- A state/federal Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Hainesport Township, Burlington County, is moving to a new location. The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced the center, located in the Volunteer Fire Company Building at 106 Broad Street in Hainesport Township, will close at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 27.  At 10 a.m. on Friday, May 28, the DRC reopens at the Community Center, 100 Broad Street, also in Hainesport Twp, N.J. 08036.

TRENTON, N.J. -- Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) is being made available to three additional New Jersey counties that suffered damages during the severe storms and flooding of March 12 through April 15, 2010. They join the list of 12 counties that are receiving assistance as a result of a presidential disaster declaration signed April 2, 2010. Residents of three counties ? Burlington, Cumberland and Ocean ? are now eligible for Disaster Unemployment Assistance.
