IT WILL BE CLOSED ALL DAY ON CHRISTMAS AND SATURDAY, THE FOLLOWING DAY Who: Those affected by the September 29th Earthquake, Tsunami and Flooding What: Disaster Service Center will now be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Dec. 24th for Christmas Eve. It will be closed all day Christmas and on Saturday, Dec. 26th, for the Christmas weekend.

Pago Pago, AS -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will provide one-on-one guidance for American Samoans interested in repairing and rebuilding their disaster-damaged homes or businesses. Mitigation specialists from FEMA’s Community Education Outreach program are providing free advice and answering questions, this week in Tafuna, Nu’uuli and Maleimi.

PAGO PAGO, AS -- The U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced today that it will move its disaster assistance operations from the Governor H. Rex Lee Auditorium in Utelei to the Disaster Service Center at the Convention Center on Monday, December 7, 2009 at 8 a.m. The new location will be open Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. until further notice.

Pago Pago, AS -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced today, the American Samoan Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) at the Governor H. Rex Lee Auditorium in Utelei will transition to the Disaster Service Center on Monday, Dec. 7, 2009. The location of the Disaster Service Center will be at the Convention Center in Utelei.

Pago Pago, AS -- Monday, Nov. 30, is the final day for American Samoa residents to apply for disaster assistance and return a completed U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) disaster loan application for damages or losses caused by the Sept. 29 earthquake, tsunami and flooding.  Registration ends at 5 p.m. today, Nov. 30, 2009 at the Disaster Recovery Center (DRC).  Registrations cannot be accepted after the deadline.  The registration Helpline is 633-3720.

Pago Pago, AS -- Only two days left to register with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and to return a completed U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) disaster loan application.  The deadline for American Samoa residents to apply for disaster assistance and return a completed SBA disaster loan application for damages or losses caused by the earthquake, tsunami and flooding is at 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30, 2009.  Registrations cannot be accepted after the deadline.

Pago Pago, AS -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the American Samoa Power Authority (ASPA) “threw the switch” at the Satala power plant today by activating 18 one-megawatt generators, thus commencing Tier II of a three-tiered power restoration plan for American Samoa.
