JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced the addition of Grundy and Livingston to the list of counties eligible for disaster assistance for damage to public property Friday. The additional assistance is based on a review by Federal and State disaster recovery officials.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- As a result of the severe storms, tornadoes and flooding May 8 - 16, President Obama declared a Federal disaster making funds available across the state to assist in the recovery process. These are available to Missouri's residents and infrastructure. Assistance for Individuals Homeowners, renters and business owners in 28 counties designated for Individual Assistance can apply for disaster aid.

Jefferson City, Mo. -- Residents in 28 counties who suffered property damage or loss from the severe storms, tornadoes and flooding from May 8 - 16 can register for federal disaster assistance. Registration is available at www.disasterassistance.gov or by calling toll-free 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week until further notice. Those with speech or hearing impairment can call TTY 1-800-462-7585.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The head of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) today announced that federal disaster aid has been made available for the State of Missouri and ordered federal aid to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the area struck by severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding during the period of May 8-16, 2009.
