The toll-free hot line is operated by the Missouri Bar Young Lawyers Section. A message including name, phone number and address can be left at any time. Flood-related legal needs include:

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- More than $1.4 million in federal disaster assistance has been approved for individuals and households in Missouri in the thirteen days since President Obama issued a major disaster declaration for the state. JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- The Federal and State Emergency Management Agencies (FEMA and SEMA) will open a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Bolivar Wednesday, July 8 from 1 to 7 p.m. for people affected by the May 8 - 16 severe storms, tornadoes and flooding. Regular hours of operation after Wednesday are from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday until further notice. The DRC address is:

Hours of operation Thursday will be 1 p.m. - 7 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. The DRC will be closed Saturday, July 4. Regular hours of operation beginning Monday, July 6 will be Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 7 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. until further notice.  The DRC address is:
