INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Residents and business owners in sixteen Indiana counties who sustained damage from severe storms, tornadoes and flooding that occurred March 8 - 14 are running out of time to apply for disaster assistance. The eligible counties are Allen, Carroll, Daviess, DeKalb, Fulton, Jasper, Kosciusko, Lake, LaPorte, Lawrence, Marshall, Noble, Pulaski, St. Joseph, White and Whitley. June 22 is also the deadline to return completed disaster loan applications to the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Over the past 18-months, the state of Indiana was affected by severe weather in which the state requested and was granted five presidentially declared disasters. Those declarations resulted in a total over $365,829,399 in disaster assistance to the state. Through Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) program grants and Small Business Administration (SBA) loans, recovery assistance was available to individuals and state and local governments that were affected by the disasters.
