BISMARCK, N.D. — In the nine months since President Obama's March 24 federal disaster declaration, State and federal assistance to North Dakota for spring flooding response and recovery now totals more than $150 million in grants and loans, the North Dakota Department of Emergency Services (NDDES) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) reported today. Bismarck, N.D. -With its latest round of Public Assistance grants, FEMA has provided more than $32.5 million to North Dakota on behalf of state, local and tribal governments and private nonprofit organizations for disaster response and recovery costs. In addition, the state has provided $11 million to local communities as its portion of project cost shares.

BISMARCK, N.D. -- Federal aid to individuals, government agencies, businesses and private nonprofit organizations now totals $62.4 million in grants and loans, the Federal Emergency Management Agency reported today. Registration for individuals impacted by the disaster closed Aug. 10, but the FEMA helpline is still available to anyone having questions about disaster assistance. Registrants should also continue to inform FEMA about any changes in address or other contact information.

The registration period for homeowners, renters, nonprofit organizations and businesses of all sizes  ends at 11 p.m. Central Daylight Time (10 p.m. Mountain time). Aug. 10. Call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) (TTY 800-462-7585) between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. (6 a.m. to 10 p.m. MDT). Online, register at www.DisasterAssistance.gov.
