OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Washington state residents who were affected by the January 6-16, 2009, winter storm, landslides, mudslides, and flooding are being urged to complete the loan application from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Officials of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Washington Emergency Management Division (WEMD), and the SBA stress that the SBA loan application must be completed for consideration for various other types of assistance programs.

OLYMPIA, Wash. -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Washington Emergency Management Division (WEMD) have announced several updates in the schedule of Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) in Washington. OLYMPIA, Wash. -- More than $3 million in federal disaster assistance has been paid to Washington residents to help them recover from January's severe winter storms, announced officials from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Washington Emergency Management Division (WEMD). As of the close of business Thursday, 1,991 homeowners and renters have applied for disaster assistance. Inspectors have visited 1,261 homes. Grants awarded to date total $3,061,738, which includes:
