LINCOLN, Neb. -- All of the disaster recovery centers operated by the state of Nebraska and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be closed on Friday July 4th for the holiday. The centers re-open on Saturday, July 5th. The hours are 9:00 A.M to 6:00 P.M. daily; closed Sundays. Recovery centers are located in several counties to assist anyone who lives, works or owns a business in a declared county and suffered damage from the recent storms.

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Teams of community relations specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be visiting Nebraska residents affected by recent severe storms, flooding and tornadoes. The teams will be in several communities to give people information about FEMA, Nebraska Emergency Management Agency and U.S. Small Business Administration programs available to help with temporary housing, repairs, low-interest loans and eligible expenses not covered by insurance.

LINCOLN, Neb. -- On Thursday the State of Nebraska and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will open three additional Disaster Recovery Centers to help residents and business owners with their recovery from the severe storms, tornadoes and flooding that began on May 22, 2008. Centers opened earlier this week in Lexington at the old Wal-Mart, 1501 Plum Creek Parkway, and in Kearney in the Mid-Town Business Center.
