MADISON, Wis. -- Más de 500 comunidades de Wisconsin participan en el Programa Nacional de Seguro contra Inundaciones (NFIP por sus siglas en inglés).  Todos los propietarios de vivienda y de negocios así como los arrendatarios de dichas comunidades, pueden adquirir el seguro contra inundaciones y solicitar ayuda federal por desastre tales como; subsidios para reparaciones, préstamos y entre otros cuando parece que ya no quedan opciones.

MADISON, Wis. -- The three Mobile Disaster Recovery Centers (MDRCs) now visiting a series of sites throughout Wisconsin's disaster area have added several stops and expanded their stays at several other planned stops.  These MDRCs provide applicants in the areas being served with the opportunity to have their questions and concerns addressed by recovery specialists, disaster officials said today.

MADISON, Wis. -- All Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) and Mobile DRCs (MDRCs) will be closed on Sunday beginning July 13.  Operations will continue, according to schedule, Monday through Saturday until further notice. "We are far enough along in the operations of our DRCs and MDRCs that there is a noticeable decline in the number of applicants coming in over the weekends, especially on Sunday," said Federal Coordinating Officer Dolph Diemont. "We will continue to provide services to those in need on Saturdays as well as weekdays."

Madison, Wis. -- Wisconsin residents recovering from recent severe storms and flooding have received $31 million, state and federal officials announced today. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has distributed almost $29 million in grants to individuals for housing and other disaster needs. The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has approved more than $2 million in low-interest disaster loans. Recovery summary as of close of business July 7, 2008:

MADISON, Wis. -- The Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Dodge County will end operations at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 11, disaster officials announced today. Applicants with questions still can call the toll-free helpline at 1-800-621-FEMA.

The Community Education Outreach (CEO) program, sponsored by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), is presented in cooperation with local businesses, building supply centers and relief agencies.

MADISON, Wis. -- If your property was damaged by the severe June storms, tornadoes and flooding, help may be available.  Not only is money available to make repairs to homes and businesses, but also  additional funds may be available to build back more resistant to future disaster losses. Disaster-recovery officials from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and Wisconsin Emergency Management all acknowledge the importance of including mitigation money in the SBA disaster loan.
