DENVER, Colo. -- Federal and state officials want to remind residents of Larimer and Weld counties that the deadline to register for disaster assistance is July 25, 2008. While registrations cannot be accepted after the deadline, FEMA will continue to process all applications received before July 25. Registration with FEMA opens the door to a variety of federal, state, local, and voluntary programs.

There are several programs available to help people recover from the severe storms and tornadoes on May 22, but time is running out.

DENVER, Co. -- The Disaster Recovery Center in Windsor High School gymnasium will change its hours effective immediately. The DRC will now be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will remain closed on Sundays. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Colorado Division of Emergency Management (CDEM) have coordinated services at the center, located at 1100 West Main, since Tuesday, May 27.
