AUGUSTA, Maine – Just three weeks remain for northern Maine residents to register for state and federal disaster assistance for the flooding that occurred from April 28-May 14. The deadline to apply is July 8, 2008.

AUGUSTA, Maine – According to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Maine Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), more than $1.8 million in assistance has been approved following the severe storms and flooding from April 28 to May 14.

AUGUSTA, Maine - The Disaster Recovery Center operated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Maine Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) at the Municipal Center, 416 West Main Street, Fort Kent will close at 6 p.m, Saturday, June 14th. Hours of operation until that time are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

AUGUSTA, Maine - Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) is available to people whose employment or self-employment has been lost or interrupted as a direct result of the recent severe storms and flooding in Aroostook and Penobscot Counties. Those who were prevented from starting a new job or self-employment, or who are no longer working normal hours due to this disaster may also qualify for DUA assistance.
