SALEM, Ore. -- Disaster mitigation outreach teams from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be at home improvement stores in Astoria and Gearhart to provide information about making homes safer and more storm resistant. SALEM, Ore. -- Free crisis counseling, funded by a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is available to Oregonians and Oregon families  in Columbia and Tillamook counties who may be suffering stress, anxiety or depression as a result of the severe storms, wind, mudslides, landslides, and flooding striking  the state Dec. 1-17. Registration for assistance with FEMA is not required to access this program.

"We have a well-traveled path to help residents recover from disaster," said Federal Coordinating Officer Glen R. Sachtleben. "But sometimes families get stopped mid-way. The best way to keep your application moving is to keep communications open with our Helpline or a visit to one of FEMA's Disaster Recovery Centers (DRC)."

SALEM, Ore. -- The Oregon Emergency Management Agency (OEM) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) today announced a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) will open at 9 a.m. Thursday, January 3, at the Clatskanie Fire Station, 280 SE Third Street, Clatskanie, OR, 97016. It will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Saturday, January 5, 2008.?

SALEM, Ore. -- The Oregon Emergency Management Agency (OEM) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced the Tillamook Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) will close at 6 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2008. Residents of the area served by the DRC are urged to visit before the facility closes to get answers to questions about registration for disaster assistance and hazard mitigation. Information about low-interest U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) disaster loan applications is also available at the DRC.
