FINDLAY, Ohio -- Friday is the last day to register for disaster assistance. Residents and business owners affected by the storms and flooding that hit northwest Ohio Aug. 20-28 have until the end of the day Friday, Oct. 26, to register with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) or to apply for a low-interest loan from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

FINDLAY, Ohio -- With two weeks until the deadline, state and federal disaster officials are concerned that some Ohioans affected by the August severe storms and floods might miss out on disaster assistance because they are waiting to receive an insurance settlement. "You need to register first, so we can start processing your application," said Federal Coordinating Officer Jesse Munoz of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). "When your settlement comes, you can call us back and we'll make the necessary adjustments in your paperwork.

FINDLAY, Ohio -- The deadline to register with FEMA and to submit a SBA loan application is October 26 - only two weeks away. "Since the Aug. 27 disaster declaration, more than eight thousand people in eight designated counties have registered for assistance," said Federal Coordinating Officer Jesse Munoz of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). "There's still time for everyone who had damage to register. But don't put it off any longer."

FINDLAY, Ohio -- A mitigation outreach team from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will return to the Findlay Lowe?s store for three days starting Friday, Oct. 12.
