WINDSOR, Conn. -- Nearly $3.6 million in federal aid is now obligated to help Vermont communities recover from damage and destruction caused by severe storms and flooding in April, according to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The process of helping Vermont's communities recover from the mid-April storms is moving rapidly to completion.  With 218 projects underway in Vermont, 204 are obligated for federal funding and the remaining projects are getting final reviews.

WINDSOR, Conn. -- Vermont Emergency Management and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will hold a briefing in the Cambridge Rescue Building on Route 108 south of Jeffersonville, Vt. at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6. This meeting will outline federal funding available to help Lamoille County local governments and eligible nonprofit organizations recover from mid-April storm damage.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The head of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security?s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) today announced that federal disaster aid has been made available for the state of Vermont to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the area struck by severe storms and flooding during the period of April 15-21, 2007.
