EAGLE PASS, Texas -- It is important to know that if you suffered damages and losses from the severe storms and tornadoes of April 21-24, and registered with any voluntary agency for assistance, it does not register you with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

EAGLE PASS, Texas -- Disaster assistance for Denton County, Texas is now available for homeowners, renters and business owners affected by the severe storms of April 21-24, the head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced today. FEMA Administrator David Paulison said the assistance was approved based on a review of damage data gathered by federal and state disaster recovery officials. Denton joins the counties of Maverick, Moore and Swisher previously designated disaster areas under a declaration issued by President Bush on May 1, 2007.

EAGLE PASS, Texas -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the State of Texas want to remind those who suffered damages as a result of the severe storms and tornadoes of April 21-24 that low-interest loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) are not just for businesses. The loans are also available for residents in the disaster-designated counties of Maverick, Moore and Swisher.

Toll-Free Application Number Available For Those Affected By Severe Storms And Tornadoes In Texas From April 21-24
EAGLE PASS, Texas -- A toll-free application telephone number and on-line registration are now operational for residents in Maverick, Moore, and Swisher counties who suffered property damage or losses from severe storms and tornadoes that occurred between April 21-24, 2007.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The head of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) today announced that federal disaster aid has been made available for the state of Texas to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the area struck by severe storms and tornadoes during the period of April 21-24, 2007.
