ATLANTA, Ga. -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is on the ground in Florida, helping the state and affected communities recover from tornadoes that struck Thursday night and Friday morning. "The president and FEMA are bringing all available resources to assist the state?s citizens recover from this disaster," said Jesse Munoz, the official designated to coordinate FEMA's relief effort.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The head of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) today announced that federal disaster aid has been made available for the state of Florida to help people and communities recover from the effects of severe storms and tornadoes during the period of February 1-2, 2007.
