OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management (OEM) announced today that local governments in 18 additional counties are now eligible for disaster Public Assistance. Federal Coordinating Officer Kenneth Clark said the assistance was approved following a review of damage data gathered by federal and state disaster recovery officials for the severe winter storms beginning Jan. 12.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The head of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced that federal disaster aid has been made available for the state of Oklahoma to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the area struck by severe winter storms during the period of January 12-26, 2007.
