SANTA FE, Texas -- More than $1 million in grants has been approved since the Presidential disaster declaration was issued for New Mexico on August 30, 2006 , according to figures released today by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the New Mexico Office of Emergency Management. The following is an update of recovery activities at close of business Thursday, Sept. 14th:

SANTA FE, N.M. -- The Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the New Mexico Office of Emergency Management, and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced today that a Disaster Recovery Center will open in Alamogordo on Thursday, Sept. 14 at 9 a.m. at the following location: Otero County 1011-10th Street Alamogordo
