ALBANY, N.Y. -- Only a couple of days remain for individuals and business owners in the six New York counties designated for individual assistance to call and apply for state and federal aid to replace losses from the severe storms and floods that ravaged the region last September 16-24. The deadline to call and apply for disaster assistance is January 15, 2005. The eligible counties are Broome, Chenango, Delaware, Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster.

ALBANY, N.Y. -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management (FEMA) and the New York State Emergency Management Office (SEMO) announce the opening of a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) to assist those who suffered losses and damages as a direct result of the severe storms that occurred Aug. 13- Sept. 16. Starting Friday, November 18, the DRC will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week, except Thanksgiving Day, at the following location: Town Hall 420 Rt. 209 Huguenot, NY 12746

ALBANY, N.Y. -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) today amended its disaster declaration of October 1, 2004 to include the counties of Allegany, Broome, Cattaraugus, Madison, Monroe, Niagara, Oneida, Onondaga, Orange, Orleans, Steuben, Sullivan, Ulster and Wayne eligible for individual disaster assistance.
