» Federal Aid Programs For Florida Hurricane Recovery WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The head of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced today that President Bush has ordered the release of all necessary federal disaster aid resources for Florida, lashed for an unprecedented fourth time by a hurricane in last six weeks.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- State and federal officials announce the opening of three more Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs), one in Putnam County for victims of Hurricane Frances and Jeanne, and one each in Bay and Walton counties for those affected by Hurricane Ivan. There are now 27 centers operating. The new centers opened on Monday, September 27.
