WASHINGTON, DC ? A team of medical specialists from Oklahoma has been deployed to the Gulf Coast States to assist in the response effort to Hurricane Ivan. Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) deployed the Oklahoma Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) to assist heavily impacted communities in the area with emergency medical needs following Hurricane Ivan.

The State of Louisiana and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) are rapidly moving emergency relief supplies of ice and water to people affected by Hurricane Ivan. These supplies will be delivered and distributed by the Louisiana National Guard at centers in St. Bernard and Plaquemines parishes at the following locations: St. Bernard Parish - opening 9/16 at 6:30 p.m.
