EAST LANSING, Mich. -- The Macomb County Disaster Recovery Center in Romeo, Michigan will close at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 24h, federal and state officials announced today. The center will be in operation until that time in the Amanda Moore Elementary School, 209 Dickenson Street in Romeo, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily to provide assistance to disaster victims from the May 20-24 storms.

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Disaster recovery officials have announced the Thursday opening of a Disaster Recovery Center in Ingham County. The center will be located in the Lansing Fire Station #4 (New Station) at 1435 E. Miller Road. It will be open on Thursday, July 22 from 12 noon to 6 p.m. Operating hours will be 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Sunday, July 25 and Monday through Saturday thereafter.

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Disaster recovery officials have announced the opening of a Disaster Recovery Center to serve homeowners, renters and business people who have already called to register for assistance. The center will be located in the City of Burton Police and Fire Administration Building at 4090 Manor Drive in Burton, Genesee County. It will be open on Wednesday, July 21 from 12 noon to 6 p.m. Operating hours will be 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Sunday, July 25 and Monday through Saturday thereafter.

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Since a major disaster declaration for Michigan was announced on June 30, $20,497,649 million in grants and loans has already been approved to help homeowners, renters and businesses recover from the severe storms, tornadoes and floods of May 20–24. The U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has approved $217,400 in low-interest loans for homeowners, renters and businesses.

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Federal and state disaster officials announced a change in location of the Dearborn Heights Disaster Recovery Center as of today, Wednesday, July 14. The center is now located at the Fire Headquarters in the City of Dearborn Heights Building at 1999 N. Beech Daly and will continue to operate from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday until further notice.

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Federal and state disaster officials announced a change in hours of operation for the toll-free FEMA registration number – 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or TTY 1-800-462-7585 for speech and hearing impaired. New FEMA phone line hours will be Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. These phone lines also serve as the FEMA Helpline.
