OTTAWA, Ill. -- Less than one week remains for individuals and business owners in the four Illinois counties designated for individual assistance to call and apply for state and federal aid to replace losses from the severe storms and tornadoes that occurred April 20 through April 23. The deadline to call and apply for disaster assistance is Tuesday, June 22. The eligible counties include Kankakee, LaSalle, Putnam and Will.

OTTAWA, Ill. -- Only two weeks remain for those who have yet to apply for federal and state disaster assistance. "We will continue to process existing assistance applications, but the deadline to call and apply is Wednesday, June 22," Lee Champagne, federal coordinating officer with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), said.

OTTAWA, Ill. -- Almost a month has passed since tornadoes caused a path of destruction through North Central Illinois. Since President Bush issued a disaster declaration on April 23, more than $2.4 million has been approved to assist in the recovery of those affected by last month's devastating storms.

OTTAWA, IL – More than $1.5 million in grants and low-interest disaster loans has been approved for disaster assistance in Illinois since the Presidential declaration of April 23, according to figures released today by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA).
