Anchorage, AK -- One month after President Bush declared the Copper River and Alaska Gateway Regional Education Attendance Areas a federal disaster area from the Nov. 3-10 earthquake and aftershocks, disaster assistance has topped $400 thousand, according to federal and state officials.

Anchorage, AK -- Individuals who are out of work as a direct result of the November 3-10 Alaska earthquake and aftershocks may be eligible for weekly benefit payments under the Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) program. Eligible persons must live or work in the Alaska Gateway and Copper River Regional Education Attendance Areas.
