Corpus Christi, TX -- A federal/state mobile Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) will return to Aransas Pass on Sunday, November 24, 2002. The center will serve those affected by the severe weather and flooding that began on October 24. The federal/state mobile DRC will open Sunday, November 24 and remain open through Tuesday, November 26. The center will be located at Precinct 1A Voting Center, at the corner of Stapp Rd. and North Commercial (Business Rt. 35) in Aransas Pass. Hours will be from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.

Corpus Christi, TX -- State and federal officials announced that disaster assistance is now available for Jim Wells County in Texas. Sandy Coachman, federal coordinating officer for the Federal Emergency Management Agency, said the assistance was approved based on a review of damages gathered by federal, state, and local disaster recovery officials.

Corpus Christi, TX -- In the aftermath of the tornadoes, severe storms and flooding that began on October 24, those who have registered for disaster assistance are finding that they have been issued a U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA) loan application. These forms are sent to applicants (both individuals and business owners) who may or may not qualify for a loan. This form must be completed and returned before further assistance can be considered.

Corpus Christi, TX -- A joint mobile Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) is scheduled to open in Sinton to serve those affected by the severe weather and flooding that began on October 24. The joint mobile DRC will open at the County Fair Ground, 1200 Harville St., in Sinton, Texas on Thursday, November 21 and remain open through Saturday, November 23. Hours will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Houston, TX -- A Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) is scheduled to open in Houston, Texas, to serve those affected by the severe storms and flooding that began on October 24. On Sunday, November 17, the DRC will open at 17507 Imperial Valley Drive (Greenbriar Shopping Center), in Houston, Texas. The hours on Sunday will be from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday the DRC will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. until further notice.
