Tempe, AZ -- The Arizona Division of Emergency Management and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) want to assure a safe place to live for those who have been displaced by the Arizona wildfires. FEMA?s Disaster Housing Program helps renters and homeowners whose primary residences were damaged or destroyed, or who face displacement from their homes because of disaster-related income loss. Types of assistance available may include:

Washington, D.C. -- The head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced today that President Bush has ordered federal disaster aid for people and communities in Arizona beset by the outbreak of uncontrolled wildfires that have been raging in the eastern part of the state since early last week.
