Moorhead, MN -- Twelve more counties have been added to the list of counties eligible for federal disaster assistance following the floods that began on June 9, disaster recovery officials announced today. "Roseau was the initial county eligible for federal assistance in the President's June 14 declaration," said C. Michel Butler, federal coordinating officer for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). "Our review of additional information indicated enough significant damage to declare more counties eligible for federal help."

Moorhead, MN -- Recent floods in Roseau County have left many with damage to basements. Approximately 250 homes or twenty-five percent of homes in Roseau are part of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) yet many are curious about what is covered by the insurance plan.
