Moorhead, MN -- Aug. 5, 2002 Only one week remains for individuals and businesses in the 17 counties designated for individual assistance to apply for state and federal aid to replace losses from the flooding that occurred throughout Minnesota beginning June 9. The deadline to register for disaster assistance is Tuesday, August 13.

Moorhead, MN -- Federal, state, local and voluntary agencies are working in partnership to help Minnesota residents in 19 counties following flooding in June. Below is an update of activities to date:

Moorhead, MN -- The time for visiting the Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Roseau County is getting shorter. Individuals and business owners have until August 9 to meet face-to-face with recovery specialists at the DRC at Ram's Sports Center at 809 - 6th Street NE in Roseau. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Moorhead, MN -- Only two weeks remain for those Minnesota individuals and business owners who haven't yet applied for state and federal disaster assistance to make an application. Those affected by the June flooding should register as soon as possible by calling FEMA's registration line, 1-800-621-3362, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The TTY number for the hearing or speech-impaired is 1-800-462-7585.

Moorhead, MN -- The Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Roseau County is still open. However, beginning this Saturday, July 27, the center will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays. The center, located at 809 6th St. NE in Roseau, will still be open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until further notice.
