Davenport, IA -- The joint federal/state Disaster Recovery Centers in Davenport and Guttenberg are changing their hours effective May 17. Davenport, IA -- The number of Iowa counties eligible for federal disaster assistance increased to 18 today with the addition of Calhoun, Humboldt, Palo Alto, Sac, and Webster Counties. Michael Bolch, federal coordinating officer for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), said the designation followed a review of additional information regarding damages incurred from the severe storms, tornadoes and floods that have plagued the state since April 8th.

Davenport, IA -- Disaster recovery officials announced that Wapello County is now eligible to apply for state and federal disaster assistance. Assistance is available for the county and the city governments who sustained additional cost due to damage by severe storms and tornadoes. Michael Bolch, federal coordinating officer for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), said this latest disaster designation means that governmental entities in these counties can apply for help with eligible costs associated with debris removal and emergency protective measures.
