Columbus, OH -- A toll-free application telephone number is now operational for those Lucas County residents who suffered property damage or losses from the storms and flooding of July 29 through August 2. Even if residents have already registered with local officials or with the Red Cross or other voluntary agencies, they need to register with the FEMA teleregistration number to be eligible for federal and state programs.

Washington, DC -- Federal disaster aid was made available today for flood victims in Lucas County under a major disaster declaration issued for Ohio by President Clinton, according to the head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
