ST CROIX, V.I. -- If you have registered for disaster assistance with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and have moved or need to correct your mailing address, you need to call FEMA's Helpline at 1-800-525-0321 (TTY 1-800-660-8005). Also, you can visit the Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) to report the changes or corrections.

ST CROIX, V.I. -- In less than ten days after President Clinton declared the U. S. Virgin Islands a major disaster area in the wake of Hurricane Lenny, almost fifteen hundred households have registered for assistance with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) by calling the toll free teleregistration number at 1-800-462-9029, disaster recovery officials announced today. Checks totaling $83,224 are in the mail to 85 of those households, officials said.

ST CROIX, V.I. -- Virgin Islanders who have already registered for assistance with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) can now receive information on the status of their applications, have their questions answered and or provide additional information by calling the Helpline at 1-800-525-0321. The Helpline is available to receive calls Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

ST CROIX, V.I. -- St. Croix residents who suffered losses or damages as a result of Hurricane Lenny and have already registered for assistance with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) can visit the Federal/Territory Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) at the Sion Farm Commercial Center, Building 1-Bays 1-6, Queen Mary Highway (Rte. 66), starting Wednesday, December 1, 1999. The DRC will be open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

ST CROIX, V.I. -- The Federal/Territory Disaster Field Office (DFO) at Sion Farm Commercial Center, St. Croix will open on Monday, November 29, 1999. The hours of operation will be from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The DFO is an administrative office set up by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for the coordination of federal and territorial disaster relief efforts.
