DULUTH, Minn. -- Officials of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Minnesota Division of Emergency Management (DEM) have announced a 30 day extension of the application period for individual assistance for disaster victims qualifying under the July 28, Presidential Disaster Declaration. Residents and business owners in the Minnesota counties of Beltrami, Cass, Cook, Itasca, Lake and St. Louis, now have until October 25, 1999, to apply for assistance if affected by high winds or flooding that occurred between July 4 and August 2, 1999.

DULUTH, Minn. -- There are less than two weeks left for residents in central and northeastern Minnesota to apply for disaster assistance if they had damages from the severe storms and flooding which occurred during July 4 to August 2. The deadline to call and apply is Saturday, September 25th. Disaster claims will continue to be processed after that date, but you must call before the deadline. DULUTH, Minn. -- Disaster assistance totals continue to grow as federal and state officials announced today that more than $2.6 million in grants and low-interest loans have been approved for some of the 1264 central and northeastern Minnesota residents who have applied for disaster assistance.

DULUTH, Minn. -- Federal disaster aid was made available today to help families, businesses and communities in Beltrami County recover from the effects of the severe storms and flooding that occurred between July 4 and August 2. Officials of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Minnesota Department of Public Safety's Division of Emergency Management (DEM) today announced that an amendment to the July 28, presidential declaration adds the County of Beltrami to the counties of Cass., Cook, Itasca, Lake, and St. Louis to receive assistance.
