The Career Development and Training Office has posted the following internal rotation announcements:

PFT / Program Specialist, GS-12/13

The Emergency Management Institute (EMI) Superintendent/Office of the Director of Internal Training Integration (DITI) is currently seeking a well-qualified candidate (GS 12/13) for a rotational assignment (RA) lasting 120 days.  The FEMA Administrator has appointed the EMI Superintendent to serve as the DITI.  In this position the EMI Superintendent/DITI has been given responsibility to “ensure that (FEMA’s) internal training and career development programs are efficient, effective, and focused on our core mission of helping disaster survivors.”  To accomplish this, the Administrator has given the DITI “full authority and support to coordinate and synchronize all internal training, leadership, career development, and educational programs and activities for the FEMA workforce.”

DHS Center for Faith-based & Neighborhood Partnerships

PFT / Administrative Specialist, GS-11/12

FEMA’s DHS Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships (DHS Center) is seeking a highly motivated GS-11/12 Administrative Specialist to provide general and specialized project coordination support in the area of constituent outreach.  This position requires strong organizational and administrative skills, good written and verbal communication.  Experience with excel spread sheet software.  Must be able to multitask and work under strict time restraints.  Must have knowledge of agency policies and procedures.

Grant Programs Directorate

PFT / Program Analyst, GS-11 to GS-13

Grant Programs Directorate (GPD) is currently seeking two (2) individuals at the GS-11/12/13 level for a rotation (NTE 120 days) to temporarily service as a Program Analyst within GPD’s Action Office.  The successful applicant should have strong skills in providing assistance for all grant development and administration functions related to a variety of non-disaster and disaster grants.

DHS Center for Faith-based & Neighborhood Partnerships

PFT / Program Specialist, GS-11 to GS-13

This position serves as the Confidential and Special Assistant to the Director in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Center for Faith-Based & Neighborhood Partnerships (CFBNP). This Center is one of thirteen Federal agency offices under the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships (WHOFBNP). The Center supports the mission of DHS and is congressionally mandated to function under the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). DHS Center is located in FEMA headquarters. The Center's mission builds, sustains and leverages partnerships between faith-based and community organizations and the federal government, focusing on groups marginally affiliated with the department's components and programs. The selectee reports directly to the Director.

PFT / Web Program Specialist, GS-9 to GS-13

FEMA’s Ready Campaign is seeking an eager and dynamic individual to serve as its web program specialist for its family of websites under Ready.gov.  This position would assist in the on-going management, development and outreach connected to its digital assets that include its social media channels.  This position will provide great experience in web site management and digital outreach to include drafting written materials and learning how to incorporate the tools of digital communications into an emergency management preparedness campaign.

Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Risk Management and Compliance Division

PFT / Financial Management Specialist, Accountant, GS-11 to GS-13

The individual filling this position will work within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).  The mission of FEMA is to “support our citizens and first responders to ensure that as a nation we work together to build, sustain, and improve our capability to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from, and mitigate all hazards.”  The Risk Management and Compliance Division within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer manages resources to help FEMA program offices fulfill the FEMA mission.   Maintaining accountability to the public, Congress, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), FEMA’s Risk Management and Compliance Division (RMC) ensures that FEMA effectively manages financial risk and maintains compliance with standards set by FEMA and other government entities.

FEMA’s Public Affairs Division is looking for an energetic person to serve on its Internal Communications Team.  This position would assist in the on-going development and support for the agency’s internal communication efforts.  The position will provide great experience in drafting written materials and learning how to incorporate the tools of digital communications (including web and social media platforms).
