TitleThe Use of Federal Block Grants in Long Term Recovery

TitleState Individual Assistance Officer Awareness and Discussion
DescriptionThis session will focus on the information presented in the State IA Officer Pilot Course and will include a facilitated discussion of best practices, lessons learned and helpful hints from State IA Officers who have implemented what they’ve learned from the Pilot Course. We will also discuss other HQ initiatives and IA training available to the states. This is an opportunity for state IA officers at all levels of experience to discuss IA operations, offer suggestions for course content and learn about other training beneficial to the FEMA/State IA partnership.

TitleDisaster Assistance Partners – Other Available Assistance Programs
DescriptionMany agencies other than FEMA have additional assistance programs that may be available to disaster survivors. While some of these programs are only available in Stafford Act declared disasters, others are available under the agency’s own legislative authorities. Each panel member will briefly discuss the assistance programs from their agency/organization that may be available to disaster survivors, when they are made available, and the general eligibility criteria.
