This section contains the Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) Closeout Report Tutorial. The tutorial is intended for fire departments and eligible organizations who are interested in AFG application assistance tools.
When you have all of the necessary items, you access the closeout report at https://portal.fema.gov/famsVuWeb/home, and enter your User ID and Password.
If you've lost or forgotten your user ID or password, click on the appropriate button below the log-in box, or call 1-877-611-4700.
After logging in, you will see a status screen. Find the year you need to close out. From the dropdown menu in the "Action" column, select the "Closeout Grant" option and click "Go."

Now you're on the closeout report homepage where you can access all sections you need to complete.
The first time you access the closeout report, the status for all sections will read "incomplete." Once a section is completed, the status will change to "complete." If the status for any of the sections is "incomplete," you will not be allowed to submit the closeout report. The system will show a validation error and remind you to complete all sections.
