Agnes Lujan is a 1983 graduate of Mora High School and has had a 38-year career in customer service. Before joining the Las Vegas Claims Office, Agnes held managerial roles with Pacheco Oil and Gas, Pacheco LP Gas and Ferrellgas. Agnes is proud mom to son, A.J., and daughter, Natasha; and Nana to four grandsons, with another on the way. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her grandsons, crafts, drawing and painting.

June is Pet Preparedness Month. Your pet is an important member of your family. To make sure that your pet is as ready for a disaster as you are, include them in your emergency plan. This means gathering the supplies they will need before a disaster happens and knowing how you will evacuate them. This month, FEMA employees are sharing how they keep their own pets prepared.

Delbert Romero is from Truchas, NM. He joined FEMA in August 2022, serving as a Mitigation Specialist for the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program. In March 2023, he joined the Hermit's Peak/Calf Canyon Claims Office as a Claims Navigator. Previous to Delbert's work with FEMA, he was with the State of New Mexico's Emergency Management Bureau, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and he wrote grants for numerous non-profit organizations and raised funds for youth programs, libraries and community centers. In his free time, Delbert enjoys working on old cars and hiking in the mountains.

Katherine joins the Claims Office as a Claims Navigator. Prior to her current position, she was a finance specialist with San Miguel County. Before that she was an internal auditor with the Bank of Las Vegas.

Claims Navigator Charlotte Duran brings 25 years of New Mexico public service experience to the Claims Office. She served two terms as the Mora County Clerk and four years at the state Public Regulation Commission. She enjoys spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren play sports.
