New York Joint Field Office Receive 2013 DHS Sustainable Practices “Green Dream Team" Award

Queens, N.Y., Sept. 26, 2013--The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Joint Field Office (JFO) in Queens, New York has been awarded the 2013 DHS Sustainable Practices “Green Dream Team" Award. The Disaster Response and Recovery team for Hurricane Sandy was honored for their sustainability efforts with Environmental, Energy, and Economic issues. To date, the DR-4085 JFO has saved more than 23 million dollars with Green practices and programs.
