Queens, N.Y., Nov. 15, 2012 -- The Russian airmobile insignia of Alexy Audeev, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department EMERCOM of Russian, who toured FEMA's Joint Field Office in New York. Following Hurricane Sandy, FEMA coordinates its work in New York at the JFO and supports state, local, tribal and volunteer agencies in their disaster response activities. FEMA welcomes the cooperation and assistance of international experts such as the Russian Airmobile Rescue Service who are familiar with disaster response best practices and techniques needed to assist communities in need of relief.
