Manny Centeno, IPAWS Program Manager, and Mark Lucero, IPAWS Engineering Branch Chief, of the IPAWS Program Management Office, will give a planning and operations perspective of how to best integrate IPAWS into your own alert and warning system through usage, training, exercise, governance, and technology selection/ requirements. Mark will further demonstrate the role that IPAWS can play in your local community through a case study of Kansas City, where two states, 15 counties and multiple alerting authorities have jurisdiction. Mike Gerber from the National Weather Service will also present WEA Lessons Learned.
