This FEMA Kit includes two DVDs created by a joint venture between the departments of the Army and Homeland Security, through the Chemical Stockpile Emergency Preparedness Program (CSEPP). These movies address what planners, public officials, and pet owners need to consider when planning for emergency animal and pet evacuation, transportation, and sheltering. The "What Planners Need to Know," DVD presents information for state and local planners. The "What Owners Need to Know," DVD focuses on the planning tools for pet owners. Each DVD contains a video presentation on pet preparedness as well as supplemental material designed to assist in planning that can be accessed through use of your computer's hard drive. These videos and their supporting documents were created with input from federal, state, and local nonprofit partners active in disaster management and planning.
