Re: Second Appeal-Haskell County, OK, Debris Removal, FEMA-1355-DR-OK
Dear Mr. Ashwood:
This is in response to your letter dated October 28, 2002, that transmitted the referenced appeal on behalf of Haskell County. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), which is now incorporated with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), approved $3.6 million for debris removal activities following a severe ice storm in late December 2000 and early January 2001. The County is requesting reimbursement for an additional $242,897.
As explained in the enclosed appeal analysis, I did not find any information in the file to support the Countys request for additional funding. Therefore, I am denying the appeal.
Please inform the County of my determination. My determination is the final decision in this matter in accordance with 44 CFR §206.206.
