The United States Secret Service is tasked with a dual mission of protection and investgations, and is resonsible protecting our nation's leaders, as well as America's financial and critical infrastructures. Established as a law enforcement agency in 1865, Secret Service agents investigate a wide range of crimes including counterfeiting, financial institution fraud, computer and telecommunications fraud, false identification documents, access device fraud, advance fee fraud, electronic funds transfers, and money laundering as it relates to our core violations.
