Disaster Benefits Portal Partners

The cooperative efforts of many agencies are required to make the vision of a consolidated on-line application for benefits across all Federal agencies a reality.

The following programs have been categorized to help prioritize their integration into the portal. Criteria including whether the program is administered at the Federal level, its importance to disaster victims, and the level of technical complexity to integrate were factors in assigning the category.

Category 1 forms of assistance are administered at the Federal level and provide important benefits to individuals affected by a disaster. These are priority forms of assistance to be included in the disaster benefits portal by the December 31, 2008 deadline.

Category 2 forms of assistance are not administered at the Federal level but are considered essential to disaster victims. The DAIP will have to work with state and local agencies to integrate these benefits. If resources permit, these forms of assistance will be added to the portal after the December 31, 2008 launch date
