The Office of Preparedness Policy, Planning, and Analysis (PPPA) strengthens national preparedness by leading special initiatives, directing preparedness policy planning efforts, and analyzing policy and program results within the scope of the National Preparedness Directorate (NPD)’s mission.

Key Branches and Functions

PPPA carries out its mission and responsibilities through the three following branches:

Policy is responsible for establishing and supporting the entire life-cycle of NPD policymaking and creating an NPD strategic plan. The Policy Branch:

2010 State Preparedness Report (SPR)

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) National Preparedness Directorate (NPD) announces the release of the 2010 State Preparedness Report (SPR) web-based, quantitative survey tool accessible at https://federalrac.dsbox.com/npdspr Access to the survey tool is restricted to approved State representatives.
